Fuel gauge and sending unit

Alrighty,

I have the voltage trasformer and gauge back together and wired in. No response with sending unit, but if I pull the connector plug and provide a connection between the two female connections on the plug (presumably grounding the connection), it will chase right to full. I assume I need to pull the sending unit and clean/investigate.

What is the range of ohm sweep I should find? And I assume I need some type of gasket for putting the sending unit back in?

I'm thinking...10 to 73 OHMs.

Frank is right. I checked mine when my tank was out. It went from 20 to 80, but the gauge works fine.
