Doug told me he was trying to get $800 for it. If I wasent working on that other car, i'd consider it. Actually, I'd have him send all the unique stuff from the dragonfly package and junk the car.

It's about 5 hours away from me--almost to Oklahoma, otherwise I would consider a trip to look at it.

It was hard to get him to say any price for the Drag-N-Fly. I cornered him and he said "something like $800"--he wants a Falcon!

    Drag-N-Fly Adventure

Jack and I are tentatively planning on going up there to look at the Drag-N-Fly sometime next week. I'll take lots, and lots, and lots of pictures. (Is that 3)!

Will: We can pick you up on the way, if you're going to be free.

[This is strickly an adventure to look at the car. I know what you all are thinking].

    ..I can't imagine...

..can you think of WHY this was done by a dealer.
For years dealers have done there own versions of
customizing to promote vehicles. Sometimes in Ford
dealers cases it was a regional promotion, and often
those promotion packages went beyond the region.
e.g. the California Special Mustangs of '68 and
High Country Special Mustangs (Colorado) of '66 and
    '68.

Usually these promotions are done to boost sales.
If the cars aren't moving, or sometimes if they are,
something would be done to attract buyers.

Can you imagine how bad sales must have been or
how much spare time someone had to think this
    one up?
I know that the 240,260 and 280 Z's were popular
cars back in the mid 70's ( I am not sure which one
was being sold in '74), but that is the most ridiculous
bolt-on modification (or riveted) that I have ever
    seen.
