    FB_IMG_1466984383014.jpg So I ate the rings out of my 302 and overheated it like a mother(RIP Mexican block). It's not really worth taking it apart since my buddy has a fox body 302 efi I can switch everything over. I'm looking on the threads and I can't find like a list or a build talking about what they did and what they used:character0182:

    Do you mean complete EFI swap or just use basic engine???

    To go carbed you strip new engine to long block and reuse most parts from your orig engine... Exceptions being harmonic balancer, flywheel and dist drive gear... Also don't forget to swap the fuel pump eccentric on front of timing gear...

    Best bet if you aren't a wiring genius is to buy a stand alone harness, Summit sells one and it makes the conversion much easier. The fuel system will be it's own animal but should be pretty straight forward.

    You can use the foxbody EFI stuff. Is it mass air? It would be for the best to go with mass air. What are the specs of the 302? If it's stock, the install is fairly easy, just need to make sure you wire everything up properly, and put in an electric fuel pump. If it's not stock, you'll either have to have it tuned, or buy the equipment and do it yourself like I did. It's a lot more complicated than a carb, but generally worth it for the fuel milage and ease of starts. If you have more specific questions I can probably answer them.

    you'll need the EFI intakes, injectors, fuel rails, dizzy+coil, wiring harness, computer, electric fuel pump, intake tubing and MAF sensor....im sure theres a bunch of smaller parts im forgetting, that would come on the stock EFI engine, but those are the big pieces.

    EFI swap is not that difficult but very time consuming. I unpinned every unnecessary wire and extended harness so I could hide computer behind passenger dash.

    [QUOTE="Phil,

    Hello there , you wouldn’t have anything like a diagram for all the wiring ?
    I just did a swap and I have no clue what I’m doing haha
    There’s so many wires that I’m way overwhelmed, trying to find videos on YouTube , answers on google but can’t find anything .
    If you could help it would very much appreciated.

    Give us some background on what you have and what the EFI is off of. If you are using factory 5.0 stuff from 1993 or older do yourself a favor and find this book, it's very informative.

    Another thing you must have is a wiring diagram for the donor vehicle, without it you will have a nightmare trying to finish the work. I highly recommend a factory manual, much more reliable information and you should be able to get just the electrical section.

    Helm is a great source for manuals, I have bought several from them.

    The electrical manual is known as EVTM, is specific for model and year.

    Saved my butt when I installed the 5.0 in my Turbo Coupe. Almost nothing is compatible between a 5.0 Bird/Mustang(those are similar) and the 4cyl Turbo Coupe. Had to remove all the half motor wiring then build interface harnesses to connect the 5.0 to the TC body harnesses.
