Iv'e aquired a 72 maverick from an auction, a 89 5.0 EFI engine was installed the installation was mostly completed just needed power hook up. wired ECU and fuel pump relays into 12 volt switched terminal at the fuse box.
Engine cranks has good spark and shows power and ground at the injectors with key on and pulse when cranking.
Upon attempting to start it appears as though only the #8 cylinder injector is opening, already changed the distributor pick up sensor. I'm stumped, any ideas out there.

Common for injectors to be stuck from a combination of ethanol gas & setting up.

AFAIK the dist module effects all cylinders.

I appreciate the info , I may try moving the opening injector to another cylinder and see what happens.

The reluctor in dist has one wide blade, or was it small?. Anyway when this blade passes through the PIP, ECM is signaled #1 just passed. Remainder of firing order is programmed into computer, with each blade signaling ECM to fire next injector.
