Ok so now that ive got the 302 and drove it several tines now and messed with the vacuum advance and went from one extreme to the other, i finally get it now. So now i want to experiment with full manifold vacuum and run the same tests just so i can feel the diffetence between ported vs full. With that said, my question is, is it ok for my vacuum advance to share the same full manifold vacuum line as the transmission, or should i use a totally separate port? I have a few plugs i can open on the intake if i need to.
As long as there isn't a leak, vacuum is vacuum... At more than maybe 1/3 throttle there won't be a noticable difference. Off Idle response may be a bit sharper connected to full vac but ported is usually fine for a street engine.
ty. Ive found and can feel that no VA vs using VA on ported i can tell a good difference in take off. I can also tell a little difference in the sound once i level off at 70 mph. I use less pedal with VA and it sounds a little quieter. But once i get on it just a little it open back up to a roar. I love it. Now i want to feel full manifold vacuum. Ill try to do this before friday.
