Without getting diverted into 2 or 3 core discussion please:

My '74 /250 (manual/no air) has a wider radiator opening than the stock 20" core. There are 24" radiators offered but all I've found seem to specify only 70-73 and no 74-77 application. Is there a difference in the 74 vs 70-73 mounting?.

Will a typical 24" wide (alum) radiator for 67-70 Mustang or other application fit the '74?.

    thanks

AFAIK no Maverick used a 24" radiator.

I'll guess the '70-'73 application is referring to big block/351 Mustangs. 1974 was first year for M-II, V8 not available.

The radiator doesn't fill the entire opening, the mounting flanges on the side make up the rest of the opening. So not sure you measured your old radiator, or just the opening if that makes any difference.
