Hello, found these in the trunk of a parts car I purchased. Tried to call Doug Thorley to get a few answers on them. Anybody use these on their Maverick? Is this an old part number? They appear never to have been used just a bit of rust but they seem to be coated. ceramic or paint? Anyone know anything about them. Starting to put a new dual exhaust system on and saving 500. would be a good start. Looks like a SB Ford not for sure. Dont want to start taking things apart until I am.

These are Doug Thorley shorty headers for a Maverick at the top. Hedman Shorty on the bottom.

Thanks for the pictures. They seem to look identical to the Thorleys you show. Does your set have a PN Just below the Thorley headers on the emblem? and do you know if the pair you have are ceramic coated? The number on this set is OE# D-540. They have to be at least 10 years old the car has been sitting for at least that long.

Nice score, you saved way more than $500, they are listed on their site at $750! I bought the Hedman set and looking at the flanges on the Thorley's I wish I would have stepped up for those. It sure looks like those are the ones, they seem to only have one part number on their site for the shorties and it's listed for use on Mustangs Torinos and Mavericks.

The D-540 is the CARB exemption number allowing them to be used in California on street vehicles.

I do not know if there is a part number on the headers. Yes...they come ceramic coated.
