1972 maverick transmission question

    Should be plug and play guy? Swing into place and screw or bolt on.

    Focus on shifter linkage first. The rod going to carb is kickdown rod.

    Now! Did you unbolt rod from shifter and at trans? If so you,ll have to figure out which end goes where and do lots of tuning.

    Take your time and figure it out. Your patience will be needed later.

    These are from an awesome tech article, but they show the kickdown and shift rod connections. This is for a floor shift car. Your transmission will not have the double sided transmission lever. It should have the column lock out rod/shifter connection and the throttle kickdown lever. I could not see the kickdown lever in your posted pictures, also looked like someone cut your speedometer cable.
