Is it the famous Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator?

Seriuosly, if it heats up when you turn on the ignition, then what quits working when you take it out?

That looks like the relay for the sport lamps. Did you find it in hollow area behind the left kick panel?

Mark beat me to it. My sport lamp relay looks exactly like that and it does mount behind the driver side kick panel. I'm just not sure if the 73 and up cars had this since the sport lamps were actually turn signals.:confused: I know the 71 and 72 Grabbers had them.:)

I gotta go with Terry on this one. Except I think it's a Q-35, they were non explosive. :tsk:

And it would appear you had a small Nuclear explosion below your shock tower brace. That thing looks like it's going to eat your poor Master Cylinder.

"it mounts under the shock bracket"

doesn't sound like a sport lamp relay behind the "kick panal". if so it should have a switch to turn it on/off. :hmmm:
