I'm looking to buy a complet dash from 1972 comet And I want to know if it will fit in my 1975 comet And what else could fit or not fit in interior parts Thanks David
Hi David, The '72 dash will fit in your '75 with no problem. The only difference is the early ones ('70-'73) had the open shelf and the later ones had a glovebox. You cannot install a glovebox on an early dash due to the different shape on the bottom. All other interior parts will interchange except the passenger side inboard seat track between pre and post catylitic converter cars, '74 being the first year for cats. Hope this helps! Sam
haa haa... with the tihngs ford did anything can be differant! its called left over parts! i got two 73s.. ones got a glove box the others got a shelf! both are 73's however i think if your 73 was made in 72 like mine was then thats probably why.
One thing I learned about these cars is never make a definate statement. Always use phrases like "should be", "might be", and "could be".
mine is a 76 and it still had the original exhaust on it when I got it and there was no catalytic on the car....... my great grandfather stored the car when my great grandmother died in 85 and I have all the reciepts on what he spend on the car in the 22 years he owned it (he died in 98)
Canadian cars have cats too, well unless you live in alberta like me where we have no have emmisions laws. My 76 4 door had a cat and it was canadian car.
