Does any one have or can provide a link to where I can find a exhaust manifold for my 74 Maverick (250 engine)? My exhaust manifold has the part where the exhaust pipe goes into erroded and makes terrible noise when the car is running.

Will a Ford Mustang exhaust manifold work?

I've tried changing the donut but to no avail. The car was raised in New Mexico where junky gas is the order of the day.

    Thanks.

P.S. I tried AutoKrafters and they don't have the part. Junk yards to date have been no help either.

If you don't find me look me up in about a month or so ... I'll have a spare one when I pull the 250 out of my 74 Maverick.

If you can't get one locally, call Fast Eddie at PDQ auto wrecking in Sun Valley, CA. He had a couple last time I was there (a few months ago). Tell him Bob Beck sent ya. After the profanities end he will tell you if he has it. If he wont ship it, tell him I'll get from him for you and ship it. He has an all Ford wrecking yard

I called AAA Broadway and all they had was the exhaust manifold for a 200 engine.

    Thanks anyway.

Might just need a doughnut gasket. Drop the pipe and see if that will do it. About $5 at any parts store.

Got a new steel donut in it now. I've had the exhaust manifold off before and the trouble is the opening where the head pipe goes into is eroded.

    250 exhaust manifold wanted

Rick, I've got one laying on the floor of the garage. I can't recall what year motor it came off but it's in perfect condition. I'm in NW Pnx. near 43rd Ave and Greenway. Give me a call at 602- 843-0228, morning's best. Please be patient with the phone. It's been shorting out after a couple rings. If this happens just redial. Or email me at d60smaven@hotmail.com Thanks. Bill V.

Just so you know , the exhaust manifold off a 200 , 170 or even a 144 will work . They are pudy much all the same but the ones off a '78 - 83 200 or 250 will give you the most power.

www.forsix.com they always have I6 stuff for sale , you might even find a header at a good price .

In the past year or so I remember reading that somebody was reproducing these manifolds. I think it was M.A.C.
