would it be a good idea to take the van off my van and use it on the mav when it goes back together? i noticed its a bit bigger, i put the 302 one on the van, and it keeps it cool enouhg unless i'm just sitting letting the van idle, then it gets twards the high end of the normal scale...but anyways... i figure the bigger fan blades will keep the air coming thru the i-6 radiator....

    bad idea good idea?

are you using a shroud on the radiator. that is probably the most important piece in keeping the motor cool. also make sure the thermostat is working and the radiator cap is holding the right pressure. i've had cars overheat and changed the radiator cap and that solved the problem. :)

As Don said, a fan shroud will make all the difference in the world at idle. Of course, everything in the cooling system has to be in top shape to work properly.

i don't have a shroud, but i'm sure i can get one.... if i have the inline 6 radiator... am i just going to have to modify the i6 shroud if i get one? or will one fit it, that dosen't need any modifying....
