    1) Malwood clutch pedals are amazing quality, and absolutely suck to install.

    2) the TKX fits the Maverick like it was made for it, with minimal cutting involved.

    3) the C4 I6 crossmember is easily modified to fit the TKX. It is exactly its own width too far forward. With some cutting, strengthening and welding, it only takes a 1/4" spacer to get the angles perfect. IMG_6458.jpeg

Let me know if anybody has questions, as I am in the middle of this conversion. Plan is a spicy 351W/TKX.

What were the problems with the Malwood clutch install ?

Mostly that I am 6'4" and do not belong under the dash of a Maverick. I would say that there is 100% a reason they have the pedal box out of the car in the instruction videos on YouTube. 10/10 quality, 10/10 fitment, 2/10 enjoyability for that particular project. Overall, worth it for sure.

Thank you for your reply. We will be installing a T5 in my 1975 soon. I just received the Malwood clutch kit and have the mounting bracket that a recently passed member developed.

It really is a worthwhile upgrade. I used the CJ Pony Mustang shift lever and 5 speed shift knob. I understand that it was developed for the T5, so take a look at the photo if you want to see how it fits in the car.
