    I don't know what it is but my 74 dosen't have that and starts without the seat belts fastend

    You got gyped. I'd demand a refund. Basically it seems like these cars were built with whatever was laying around. I've only seen that on a 74 but I'm not saying all 74s came with it.

    Well here is the straight poop, they tell you its the seatbelt overide thing...but in reality it opens a door to a 4th dimension,pushing that button stops time as we know it and starts time in an exact mirror dimension run by arddvarks..Hail Big Brother Arddvark...We salute you!!!!     my first mav was a 74 and I bypassed the thing. never worked right from the start that dam buzzer going off

    If it has no use, uninstall it from the current wiring, use it as a remote starter button.
    They sell these things, but i've always either 1) used a screwdriver wrench to jump solenoid or 2) i made a set of them one day.... 2 wires, 2 gator clips, and a button
    That's what i'd use it for anyways
    NOT saying thats what it was for factory
    but i get tired of going in the truck/car starting it, turning it off, when all you gotta do is leave the key on and start it that way.
    Seatbelt thing does sound right tho, but wouldnt know as i have a 72
