    WooHoo!!!!!!!!

I don't care what the price is, it's gotta be cheaper than cutting out the stock suspension and putting in a Mustang II setup! I'm in!

    Would it work with headers??

I have spent hours researching this subject and here is what I have been able to source.
This company will cut and modify a factory rack and pinion for any car. They do not use a Ford rack, but there are two different types.Power and manual.
If you go to their website, you can download a drawing/picture and fill in the correct dimensions you need (center to center ) plus tell them the travel you require. They also will put the correct threaded ends on to match your tie-rod ends.
The install would be pretty straight up with a fabricated bracket from frame rail to frame rail.Headers might be a problem but I can't say for sure. The racks are rear steer.Connecting to the steering shaft would require a Borgeson joint layout which is a common design nowdays.
I have this on my list to do,just hasn't made it to the top yet.Someone here might want to make the call and get the ball rolling.I'm sure if they haven't made one for a Maverick/Comet yet, they will and then we can all benefit.

    www.borgeson.com (for the joints)

If it can be done ,I'd say these guys can do it.

I've been told that RRS doesn't list them on there website but if you call them they can hook you up.......i've spoken with the people at UNISTEER and they told me (about 6 months ago) that they are working on a product similar to the RRS product that will be available for Mav's. It may now be available but I haven't checked back with them.

Ward, didn't mean to hijack your thread.....:evilsmile
