Well, I guess it was a good try! The next time I ask someones opinion on a repair shop I better do my own home work. I had my I6 rebuilt, (I thought) by a place that would do a good job!? So here I am 13 months later with a blown motor because as it turns out they basically just put a crank kit in the motor and not much else and collected their 1500 dollars like they had done something. So I doing now what I should have done then and put in the 302. I have been looking on the board at all the threads about the upgrades and I have a few questions. Down here in Louisiana there are two things we need to survive the summers, cold beer (not that I would drive around with one) and AIR CONDITIONING!!!. In all the pictures I can find I don't see one of those A/C compressors hanging anywhere. I know what you are thinking, but sometimes comfort comes before speed! Does anybody have a picture of theirs they would like to share? And does any body have any of those parts needed for the upgrade that they didn't use to save me the trouble of searching the country side for them?:banghead:

I can relate to the heat and need for A/C, Earl Branham had an aftermarket A/C added to his 302 and it's a nice setup at a very reasonable cost, he may catch this post or you can PM him.

J.Hope; got it. I had an aftermarket system installed that uses a late model compressor, and a recirculating system, under the dash. I drove in the shop, sweating in the August heat, and 3 days later, drove out in comfort. The shop charged me about $1500, but it has operated flawlessly for 3 years now, and cools very well. And, it does not overheat the car. I am very happy with it. I will get you some pics tomorrow, and put them up on this thread. Hope I can help you out.
