has anyone ever had a axel end off-center? I had my leaf springs installed last week and my axel is now about a 1/2 to 1/4 inch or so to the passenger side. I took it back to the suspension guy and he could'nt do anything then I took it to the chassis guy and he said when he straightend my chassis he did'nt do anything to the back only the front... told me to come back next week and he'll see what he could do though, or atleast tell me what is wrong... O'yeah does anyone know of a relatively easy way to go to 4 link? and eleminate the leafs altogether? also if I have a -0.6 percent camber on my passenger side would that mean I have a bent axle housing and should I weary about it? any info would be apreciated. thanx.

If I were you, personally, I'd wait until you get to the frame shop and see what they have to say after they check it over. Did your suspension guy weld new axle pads onto the rearend? He could have messed that up. If your suspension guy said nothing could be done, that means he's either too lazy to fix his mistake, or he doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Locating a rear end into a car with leaf springs is pretty easy, even for the person who has minor auto knowledge/skills. If you install new axle bearings, you'd probably find your camber problem fixed. I take it you have the 8 inch rear end? Hope you figure it out, man.

it is the stock 8" and no he did'nt weld anything... stock spring perches... I've heard that I would have to remove my whole rearend and take it to a shop to press fit some rear end bearings. is this true? thanx

you remove the axles themselves and get the bearings pressed off/on. not that difficult with a puller. dont have to drain any fluid or anything. good time to install fresh axle seals and check the rear brakes.
