    Mine had purple spots all over it when I took it apart too.
    It must be something to do with battery acid and Ford
    2B paint.

    The engine bay isn't pretty, but it's the wrong one. At least it's the right hood. :huh: One of these days it will get moved into the correct engine bay...

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    hum really cool to see others motors. i guess i'm so use to the little avatars in the upper left hand side that only shows the outside of the cars. but i'm impressed!

    The bracing is from MPG Head Service and is listed for a Falcon. I had to modify it to make work. If you go with this kit you will need to shorten each rod approximately 1/4" on each side, you need to cut a couple inches out of the center of the bracket that mounts to the firewall and you need to weld new mounting tabs on the plates that mount on the shock towers. Depending on distributor size and carb location will depend on where you locate the mounting tabs for the monte carlo bar.

    Here's mine, it's out of date now, different valve covers, with a remote type breather/puke tank, with braided lines.
