77 Maverick, replace every brake part new, now have a brake thumping noise, The noise is coming from the right front wheel ( brake pad wobble it sounds), more so when turning to right and goes away when turn left,
new wheel bearings (twice) and another new rotor from(Advance auto).
this noise goes away when applieing brakes, and is not always there,

It sounds like the back plate is hitting the rotor. Take the tire off and look straight down and turn the rotor. See where the back plate is hitting than bend the plate out. Good luck

It sounds like the brake pads are rattling. These brake pads can make a noise when they are not securely fasten in the calipers. It sounds almost like there is a tooth missing on a gear. It will come and go. When you hear the noise, if you gently press on the brake pedal and it goes away, its probably the pads. Anyway, pull the pads back off and bend the little ears on the outside edges until they fit very snugly in the caliper.

as far as the rotors go... i picked up a pair from advance myself... after a month they were kinda warped. i could feel throbbing in the steering wheel when braking. i returned them for bendix rotors... problem solved.

Be SURE you have the correct wheel bearings for the rotor.Be sure thet nut is not too loose. Some replacement rotors are junk imports that are defective right out of box. Use Timken bearings not el-cheapo store brand. Just because the parts are "new" does not mean they are good. Parts is Parts .....Junk Parts is well.....Junk. Let us know what you find out about problem.
