Will the V-8 brace(I think it goes under the engine?) fit the six cylinder cars also? I have seen a few on ebay and was just wondering. Thanks.

Yes, direct bolt in. If you find a donor car in a boneyard, grab the bigger sway bar as well.

I don't think so ... The oil pan would be in the way ...

I wasn't thinking about the oil pan - I just thought about the question as whether any mods had to be done to the frame to add the cross brace like in a V8 swap. Forget what I said Peyton.

It will work. The six is still a front sump pan. The brace hangs lower than the steering linkage and the rear of the pan clears that with ease. Just remember the 70 does not have the frame nuts installed so if you have one, you will have to figure a way to bolt it up. All others will be a bolt on deal.

Dennis; I have a '69.5, and the belly bar bolted up, and had the nuts in place. Funny, could have been a plant to plant thing.

I looked at my 69.5 before I posted that, just to make sure. On mine, there are no holes for the brace. Just proves my point that you cant make a definately statement about these cars.

Great, thanks for the help guys. I was wondering about the oilpan clearance myself since I haven't seen one of the bars up close or know its exact positioning. I thought it couldn't hurt to add a little extra support though. Thanks.
