Hello to all here. Over the weekend I needed to take some pictures of my purple Comet to try to get classic license plates for it and decided to take a few extra to share. I don't believe I have shown any pics of this car yet, so here it goes: http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-888F.JPG http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-891F.JPG http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-900S.JPG http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-892F.JPG http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-902S.JPG http://mysite.verizon.net/ladycomet/MVC-903S.JPG
NIIIICE COMET... is it a true GT, I am planning a GT clone on my 74 .. gonna get the stripes modified to read "GT-C/6" The C/6 "Clone/6"cylinder, I think I will do wht I can to squeek more poser of out of the 250 I just need to get ahold of a GT Hood Scoop, I think I will go Grabber blue! Nice job on yours
Good to see another Comet on the board. It's not a GT. I have had 3 Comet GT's, 2 1971's, 1 1972 and 1 1972 clone that I am building now. It's been in the Body/paint shop for 10 weeks. It was to be a 3 week job. Hope to have it back next week. I will try to post pictures then.
Thank you kindly for being so nice and for your replies The previous owner said the paint color is some kind of Nissan trunk color. It needs this and that, but in due time it'll get done. The rims are polished aluminum slots. I do need two more center caps for the front and I want to wait for metal ones other than having to settle for the plastic ones. I have no idea what the hood scoop came off of since this is how I got the car. If I talk to the previous owner anytime soon, I will try to remember to ask. This car is not a GT, it was previously a 6 cylinder coverted to 302. It is always a pleasure to drive and people often smile and some even comment on how it's a nice Camaro....hahaha I have read that some of you have had the same thing happen!!
My dad used to get the same thing all the time, and I have had a couple of the neighborhood kids come up in the driveway while I'm working on the Mav and tell me "dude, awesome Camaro"
