I just scored a toploader with under 5k on it for a set of truck rims. I have the clutch pedal assembly and the z bar for a 6 cyl I believe. Looking to see if anyone has a detailed drawing of the clutch linkage for a 302/4spd setup so I can maybe start making the proper piece. The kid I got it from thinks I can use either a cable system (which I think would be nice) or the mechanical linkage being it was out of an early 80's Capri. Any information is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

If it is from an 80's capri it is probably an SROD. I have one and also thought it was a toploader. I was told if it didnt have external linkage it was an SROD. I have the fox body cable clutch set up in my mav. Search the archives for the threads. there are two or three good ones. I think the last time I searched I searched my user name and blown76mav. Here is one of the threads http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=6207 I can send picts if you want just pm me your email and let me know if you have broadband or dialup. some of the picts are big.

yeah, I confirmed this mornig that it is an SROD, and the magazine that I got the information acutally calls it a top loader as well, anyway, I wanted a 5 spd, but I couldn't beat the price, I'll do a search in a bit. Thanks for the help guys

Will I be able to use the maverick clutch pedal and brake pedal with the cable clutch linkage, or is it neccassary to get the assembly out of a fox body?

I didnt have the maverick clutch stuff so I just added the fox body transfer tube and clutch pedal to my maverick auto pedal box. I had to trim the big brake pedal down to 5 speed size.

    Here's some picts.
[IMG] this is the fox pedal and transfer tube in the auto mav box.

[IMG] just another angle. the hose clamps kept the transfer tube from moving before it was spot welded in place.

[IMG] brake pedal trimmed and box installed in car.

I have more picts here. http://public.fotki.com/rx7351w/cam_sound_tfs_stage_2/
