I installed mine that way. Just be sure the car is level, front to rear and side to side, and they will work just fine.

Well I got to get in on this. First Dan thanks for shipping me one of the last sets you had. Second if anyone can't wait till Dan has a chance to make some more I have a set of South Side Machine Lift sub frame connectors I will sell for $75.00 plus shipping.

If you are wondering why I didn't use the SSM connectors they are heavier then Dans (very solid) and I already have a roll cage, got to keep my race car lite.

Let me know if you want them!

Just thought id get in this as well and say that the DS subframes are great.I would also like to add that the correct way to install them would be to have the car jacked up and all the wieght of the car must be set on all 4 corners as it were loaded on the ground.Jack stands under rear housing and in the front i put them under the lower control arms closest to the wheels.

    Sub frame connectors too!

I could use a set as well - for a '76 4 door (if the two inch longer wheelbase makes a difference).

Is there much of a difference between the SSM connectors and the ones Dan makes, and the span between the sub frames on a two door and a four door, if you or anyone else here knows? (I have a four door.)

Well I dunno if my subframe connectors will fit a 4dr. Since there are no maverick/comets around me at all, I have no way to know. If anyone has info, please post.
    thanks

I have bought the parting out rights to a '73 2 door. I will measure the span between the front and rear sub frame on both my four door and the 2 door I'm stripping. It will take about a week (11/11 now) because the two door is in a wrecking yard that I'll have to visit on a weekend.

    Thanks,

We are building sub frame connectors this weekend if any one else needs a set. Just as easy to make a few more at the same time.

My chassis guy is also a chassis builder for stock car Dirt Modifieds (IMCA / USMTS). Very crafty builder.

Not trying to take anything away from you Dan... didn't know if you ever built them since this last post... again, I'm sorta new here and found this topic on SEARCH. Just trying to help out since my project is at this point of sub frame connectors.

Why wouldn't Mustang subframe connectors be able to work on Mavericks?

I think that the earlier mustang ones will. Like I said I THINK they will. Someone please correct or confirm. I think you can get Mav/Comet specific connectors. Saw them somewhere online a little while back. Search on google or yahoo. Preston
