I brought back from Nice (France) my 75 Maverick (sedan) 2 weeks ago to my place in Albi (north of Toulouse...pick up an atlas!). Very nice car. No rust at all (I guess climate is very good also for the cars on the French Riviera).Started all right but needed a tune up. Complete except for the keys (all are missing). I had to screw in the ignition and take off the trunk lock. I will have to replace all the locks and the ignition bolt (any suggestion on where I could find them?). Trunk emblem and driver side sun visor are also missing. Anything else is fine. Interior is perfect, blue skai. Body has a lot of dent (I bought it from an old papy who probably had some hard time to park it ). Dash is nice. Odometer shows 91500 miles. I got a Chilton's repair and tune up guide on Ebay. I need to check the brakes and exhaust to pass the inspection. And then to the bodywork. For your information: VIN is 4W92L173478, color 3E, trim HB and DSO 15 (it is a "real" american car bought at Pesquin Ford New Jersey - sticker on the trunk lid is still there-imported by the then owner to Monaco - this is not a car made for export). It has automatic transmission, air conditioning (it works), power steering and tinted glass. No disk brakes.
I do have pictures but files are to loaded (heavy) to pass through the site attachment management. I will try another way some times.
I would be very interested in knowing one or more Maverick owners here in France. Has anybody heard of some one like this? Mavericks are very rare here. I doubt they were regularly imported in France by Ford in the 70's.
Bonsoir. A bientot. Merci de vos conseils. (Have a good evening. See you soon. Thanks for your advices.)

Do you know if there is a way to know who bought this car in 1974 at Pasquin Ford, NJ? I would like to trace the history of this unusual car (first owner, who made it cross the ocean, who owned it in Monaco, etc...?). Thanks. JP

Le croque-monsieur is a ham + cheese grilled sandwich. Two slices of white bread, one slice of ham, one slice of white cheese (best is swiss cheese). Put that in the toaster until slightly grilled. And it is really fine with a good beer. JP the chef!!
