Well Maverick #4 arrived in the driveway today. The guy called me a 4:00
and said to bring 200 bucks and pick it up. It is a beater but it has a lot of
good parts on it. It is a 73 2-door with a 250 engine, non air.
Now to get #5 which i am tring to get a lower price, and #6 which seems
to have disapeared:eek: . It had the grabber hood, and the body was crap,
but he only wanted a couple hundred for it.
    Robert

I have one. That is enough. How many do you want?

My 2004 Hemi Pickup and 2000 Supercharged Bonneville are out in the driveway. My ONE maverick is inside the garage. Are my priorities screwed up, or what!

    Hey everybody,

I think we need to start a support group for guys like RobertBailey.

    MAVERICKS ANONYMOUS

"Hello, My name is Robert. I am addicted to buying Mavericks."

please don't take offense. I wish I had a couple parts cars around. I have to dumpster dive or take from friends' cars to get parts, or fabricate them myself. I actually envy you...

At the rate they are getting crushed I am getting every one i can, provided they
are only a couple hundred bucks......See i have no wife---or EX. No kids...that I know
of and no debts. Plus a huge mid-life crisis of wanting to re-live the days of old...
wait that was disco..roller skates and 75 cent per gallon gas.
    Where did the time go.
    Robert

My kind of guy. Can't have enough parts cars, especially at $200 or less...I have 4 2dr cars (2 Comets & 2 Mavericks). Have my eye on a 4dr Maverick for parts (free)....doesn't run, but has lots of good parts....

I went and picked up my 73' 4 door yesterday. Got it for free, drove it 135 miles back to NC where it's gonna get parted. :)

We are getting a 70' Mav and a 73' Comet within the next months. Robert, your not the only one. (y)

The bad part is I dont have a drivable one yet. Just got a contractor over last night
to look at the garage and he is going to quote me on expanding it. It is currently
24x24 feet and the new addon will be 24 or 30 feet to the left and 30 to 35 feet
to the rear. He suggested the depth to be bigger than i currently have to allow for a
offset work area..benches, air compressor storage, which seems to be a good idea.
He says if I want him to do it all that it will take 10 days from start to finish.
Guess I need to hurry up and get started because maverick #5 is only a phone call
away and #6 has dissapeared but I will chase it down.

I got lost in the Wisconsin countryside years ago and stumbled on a farmhouse where a guy had easliy 20 Ford Elites in his yard. We laughed and I thought out loud, "What kind of crackpot buys every junk Ford Elite left in the country?"

    I guess now I know...

    ;)
