without Comet now just keeping in touch
"What would you name a Maverick with a 305" (big bore 4.6 modmotor) four valve engine/G-Force five speed/ladder bars/28x10.5 slicks that should weigh 2700 lbs?????"

I'd call it "That distant speck on the horizon that just blew your doors off.."Chevy Boy".."

I usually call the Stallion the Stallion,,,, but I must admit many many times I have referred to it as that red and black bitch. Lots of years and blood sweat and tears,, wouldnt trade any of um for anything.

The couple that sold me my Mav project said they named it Monica, and the wife asked me to keep it....well, when I had my Maverick in high school, there was a really cute girl who loved my car.....the first girl I ever gave a ride in a car to.....she just thought it was the coolest car.

So happens, the girl's name was Monica, so the name seems appropriate.

But as of now, the car is a funky purple color......so my 11 year old son calls it the Grape Ape, and my wife is calling it The Purple People-Eater.

Methinks Monica might end up suffering a multiple personality disorder!

My 73 is The Mav. My Grabber is Spookie for reasons I can't say. I call both of them Chick Magnets.

I just call mine by what they are. Not too imaginative but effective.
