Heh..I do...but do you have a Mav with tilt wheel, in-the-wheel cruise, power mirrors, power windows, power locks, automatic day-night mirror, headlights, headlight dimmer, temperature control..etc,etc...( I do!):biglaugh:  :) :p
    (sorry, had to do it...)

I probably didn't add anything to the original post because I posted a few other times on the subject, but to add it now: I put seats from a '93 Probe; I had to do little other than drill new holes and add a few well placed washers to make sure the seats were level...

Took seat tracks from a 73 Mav and grafted my Flofits onto them. Had to cut out 2" from the original track to lower them to the correct height. Worked out ok.

Stmanser, I believe that is twice that you have alluded to 'southern engineering'.
What's the problem? Is there a problem with our way of doing things?

I bought them via Ebay. A guy had them reupolstered in black and white leather. I had some leather dye custom mixed to match the color of my car and dyed the white yellow.

I also have to give credit to PART-TIME(Ken)...I had seen pictures of his car, which is also yellow and black and features Probe seats and that's where I got the idea for them in the first place. He told me that it took him awhile to fabricate brackets for the seats to get them to fit right. I think he has a '76 with a catalytic converter hump in the floorpan which may have made things harder.

How much fabricating (ie how long did it take) to get those probe seats in your car?

I am messing with about 6 hours per seat, and that is just the first-time using the 2X4 estimates. I will get them correct and have aluminum copies for strength and better looking work.

Luckily, the seats are really clean and functional. Really comfortable. So they are rewarding to sit in and drive. Makes it worth the time.

Hmm..I guess if you count the time I spent finding the nuts, bolts and washers that I wanted to use, maybe an hour per seat? Remember that my car is pre-cat ('74 is too, right? Seem to remember '75 and up had a cat.)
The front of both Probe seat tracks are angled down. I found that this coincided very well with the Maverick floor pan. The back mounting points of the seat tracks are flat and I used a level to add the right number of washers to get the seats to sit level.
I currently have a big washer under each nut on the underside of the floorpan to thwart the bolts pulling thru in an accident...but I am probably fooling myself thinking this would hold. I think I might make an iron bar to connect between the back two mounting points...
These seats are quite wide and just barely fit; it is a pretty tight fit between the outer side of the seat and the door sill, but it is worth it...these seats are comfortable!

74 is pre-cat. The Honda seats also were a tight fit. But the back two mounts are about 2" different in height. Also, the front outside mount bolts right in, but you need about 2" spacer between the front inside mount and the floor. So basically, bolt one straight on, then 2" spacer on the inside front, 1" spacer on outside rear, and build an angled bracket to bolt the inside rear to the tranny hump.

Sounds easy, but those numbers are approximates, and still a major bit of work. I may look for a probe in the yards.

Does the probe have a coolant fan/shroud that fits the mav? It would be nice to find one car and get both parts.

I seem to remember hearing that they did. I have a Black Magic aftermarket electric fan on mine, though.
