I just found the forum and joined. My first car in 1982 was a 1976 Ford Maverick. Ugly, rusty, but reliable. I don't don't know why, but last weekend I was thinking of that car again. On the spur of the moment I searched EBAY and bought a 1973 Comet. I drove it a few miles. Man, was that cool! Lot's of memories came back. That is the first car I've ever bought for fun rather than transportation. It's in pretty good shape. The grille is broken in a few spots however. I'm looking to replace the grille if anyone has a parts car with one in good shape. Thanks Madison69

Welcome Madison69. I'm glad that you are reliving your memories and making new ones. There is a '71 Comet for sale in my town that I was looking to buy, unfortunately, the owner was asking to much for a car that has no grille, bumpers, or motor. Again, welcome aboard.
i have a 73 comet grill i have a 73 comet grill that is in pretty good shape. i have the lights that go in it stored somewhere in my attic. i live in n e ark about 90 miles northeast of memphis tenn and about 10 miles from the southeaast mo border. will send pic of grill if you want to look at it. welcome to the board and have a great day
