I did a search and could not find an answer. What are the part #'s for a replacement bulb with more wattage than the 1156 and 1157 bulbs?
2056 and 2057...you should be able to get them any place that sell auto. bulbs...advance. pep boys, etc. etc....frank...
I'm guessing that you mean 2057 instead of 2075. Thanks!!, I get the jist. How much of a difference does it make?
Nick; it makes a big difference. Especially if you do the white face gauge upgrade. The guy has them on Ebay for about $10. Check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=43952&item=7985975356 Good luck!
Earl the 2056 and 2057 bulbs are for tail light and backlamp applications. Much to large for the instrumet cluster. I believe that is what Frank was getting at!
Lightbulb upgrade Hi, I just wanted to chime in with the fact that you can get an LED replacement for the 1157. Uses less current, 'never' burns out and is brighter(?). BTW, they're still very expensive! Regards, BaldEagleMav
I'm gonna have to check that out. Do you happen to know the part #'s? I went to the parts store today to get the 2056 and 2057 bulbs but nowhere did they say that they were more wattage. They are just supposed to last longer. I did see another bulb that looked like it would work that was 5 watts, part # 7528 (I think). I ended up not buying anything. I want to get the brightest and longest lasting I can.
Hi Nick, To be honest, I haven't seen them yet in the chain auto parts stores. I have only seen them in what I would consider higher-end catalogs. If you go to the Summit Racing online catalog and type in "APC L.E.D. Light Bulbs", you'll see that they list 1156 & 1157 bulbs for around $7.95 each. They might be slightly cheaper buying them by the pair. It looks like they list other brands and part numbers also. I hope this helps. Regards, BaldEagleMav
I have LED bulbs in my tail lights and they make quite a big difference. I've actually had comments on them several times. Suprising as they're still behind the lenses, but cool.
I drive a lot with my job and I stop a lot at truck stops. Most truck stops carry the LED replacement bulbs I know Pilot and Petro do here on the east coast anyway and I think Flying J does as well as TA (Truckstops America)
