Does anyone know if the "Trumpet Exhaust" tips that come on the 65 or 66 Mustang GT will go through the rear valance of a 72 maverick?

    Has anyone done this?

If you cut the holes in your valance right and your exhaust man bends the pipes right I see now reason why not ..

The possibilities are endless once one owns a hole saw.

There's not a lot of room on that left side to get a pipe up there. Better check it out first before you blow some $$$.

Mav, Is it that the gas tank is in the way?

I'm going to remove gas tank and go with fuel cell in trunk.

Do you think there is enough room on the rear valance itself?

The outer trim ring for the trumpets measure aprox 5 7/8 to 6" diameter

The hole then would be aprox 3/8 less in diameter.

I dont have my mav with me its in Pa.

    Thanks, Robert

Looks like it should work ...

Here is the Mustang Valance ..

You would need holes directly above where my tips are coming out ...

One would probably have to cut holes in the rear frame in that area as well. The passenger side already is "humped" up in that area to clear a muffler....driver's side is not.
