I second that!!! And I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of new faces next year as well. This club is getting bigger every day, and it sure would be nice to see more folks come on out and enjoy the good time!

Hope everyone had as good a time as I did! And I hope everyone had or is having a safe and uneventful trip home.

    Later,

Hopefully my new Grabber will be ready for next year.

How was the turn out this year? Judging by the photo it looks like quite a few people were there!

Awesome is the only word I can use to describe how good of a time I had. Despite scrambling with a broken valve spring the day before........racing a cop who was nice enough to just give me a 90mph ticket:D :evilsmile waking up with a bad hangover and driving 300 miles at 3500 rpm to get home. I had a very memorable time. My wife and I would like to thank "Big" John Ford the only guy I know that makes pink look good and The MCCI for agreat time.

I would like to add that I did shoot some video of the drag racing, awards show, some good shots thanks to Tom of the entire field of cars from a fire truck, and several interviews with owners about thier cars. I will be releasing this later through the MCCI for a small fee. Price has not been determined. SOrry to those owners I did not get to (trust me I wanted to interview everybody but I also wanted to have fun myself at the event) interview. I picked the cars that best represented a mix from original to race and inbetween. Lotsa nice cars hopefully my effort and the MCCI's willingness to market it to members who could not attend will give you a good idea as to how great of time is really had. (y)

Laura and I would like to extend our thanks as well. We had a good time again this year and look forward to the next Roundup. This event is really the pinnacle of Maverickdom...I just wish we all didn't live so far away from each other!
We made it home with not much incident. We caught up with several other cars coming home from the Roundup while on I-64, I-71 and then I-75. The only real downer was when the A/C compressor clutch started slipping and burning up for some damn reason just north of Cinci and we had to revert to the "2-65" method of cooling. *SIGH* Other than that we made it home in about 8 hours.
Sorry we missed the fun in the hotel bar last night! With the bad luck I have been having the past few days it was probably for the best...I was very tired and I really needed the sleep before the drive home today... :)

Great comments, guys. Bottom line is that thanks is just not enough. We just got in the door and I had to get online to post.

John made a lot of sacrifices to put on one helluva event for us. If this didn't show how much we are a family, not a club, nothing will. Thanks goes out to Ward also. He was a big help to John and set up the kart racing and mini golf last night. Thanks, Ward!!

I know last night we held back emotions knowing that we'd be hitting the road in the am.

    358 days until Owensboro '06!

Well, it's 12:58 a.m. Monday morning and I just got the car unloaded. It's late but I still couldn't wait to get here and post a BIG THANKS to John Ford. That was one HELLUVA Round-up. It was my first and my wife and I are already talking about going back next year. It was well worth the 13 hour drive. Thanks again John and everyone else that helped. I'll post more after I get some sleep. :)
