My brother gave me an EDELBROCK SP2P 289 2V. Intake is for a two barrell carb. It is an aluminum highriser for a ford 2 barrell. I have never saw one. Just wondering if anyone knows any thing about them. I might consider putting it on my Comet. What do you guys think. .
might want to read these threads before you decide to use it. http://www.fomoco.com/ford-forum-FE/results.asp?Page=1&Max=20&Option=1&Name=on&Email=on&Key=EDELBROCK%20SP2P%20
have same on mildly build 302,with a 500 holley with 50 cc pump,I can tell you this its hard to keep tires on the car, pulls really hard up to 4000 rpms then just runs flat,I'll be changing it out to carter 650 and and holley street domiator manifold soon to see if i can pick up some top end.
Thanks Austin's Dad: This is just a stock 302 but I thought since it was free I might try to use it with a 500 cfm Holly. Just wondering if there were any problems with it. It would save some weight on the front end plus it would look a little better than stock cast iron intake.
I had no problems running mine and you will see alot more lowend with the hi risemanifold and 500 holley.
I have a couple 302 engines that and I may build up one later. This engine is the orginal engine with 83,000 actual miles in my Comet. It runs good as it is. I just wanted something different and it was free. Thanks for replying to my post.
