that cat was everywhere, i saw it run into the hotel one morning as i was comming out. dennis, you need to keep your cat in the trailer with your "hog" next year ...frank...
For all of us who could not make it to the show this year, thanks for the great photos. I'm glad to hear that everyone who attented had a great time. Hopefully I'll be there in 2006! Thanks again! Art
I only drove about 475 miles each way, 8 hour drive. But in the Maverick on the way home with no a/c or cruise control, and a really worn out idler arm bushing, it felt like a million! After about 6 hours of holding the accelerator, I've had about enough, the last couple hours were not very fun.
I drove 780 miles one way with no A/C but it was worth it. Got home and touched up all the stone chips after I washed all the bugs off. I got almost 21 miles to the gallon. I thought that was pretty good. The LDO seats and power brakes really make a difference in drivability. My next Mav will have A/C for sure.
I believe Barry's son Jason gave the cat a home. I got home and found one of my slicks slid into the Sprint and put a big dent in the front valance. Plus my trailer brakes started acting up on the way home so I had to turn them off. Oh well, at least it happened on the way home.
Great pics Dan. Glad ya'll had a good time and everyone made it home safe. Maybe we'll try it next year.
The Comet owner did not take the cat home, thank God. We already have two! Barry McDaniels' son was playing with 'Grabber', or 'Mavi' if you prefer Cristinas' name. We found out Sat. nite that he wanted it, so we coughed it up. That's the last thing I needed here. It was kind of funny when she climbed up the undercarriage and onto the breather of that guys yellow Maverick! Seth
I'll probably fix it. I'll probably repaint the lower quarters too because the stones that the slicks throw have really peppered them. Slicks suck!!
Yup. I've seen guys put masking tape on the rear fenders to keep that from happening. I've also sprayed W-D 40 back there and inside the fender wells to ease the removal of rubber build up.
