My Maverick, that is... I knew that would get some of ya'lls attention...:evilsmile Well, after a weekend of thrashing, we were able to get the full interior out, minus the dash. Front and rear seats, headliner, carpet and insulation, panels, and accessories had to come out. Found a patch of rush about the size of a credit card in the passenger footwell, but the good news is its in the spot that the cage has to go through. She is off at the chassis shop right now. List of work to be done includes: 12 point certified cage, mini tubs, springs moved inboard, possible rack and pinion mount, Strange front disc brakes, Strange 9inch, fuel cell, new front suspension, and the good ole shock tower notch. All this is going to be done around the "street car" theme, as this car will see street duty. Phew!!! If you see me going through your trash cans, thats because I'm trying to collect some aluminum cans to get all of this stuff done!!! Here are some pics of the car and all of her beauty! My wife/teamate/CFO ain't too bad either.:bananaman Thanks baby for the help!
Geeez...if I had help like that workin on my car, I would either get a LOT done on my car or I would get absolutely nothing done to it. You have a beautiful wife and a great lookin car to boot!!! Great Job
Bwahahahha! Oh yes she is! Or Coral, depending how strong your masculine side is... You see the original color on the floor pan. They threw too much white in the mix when they resprayed it...She will be a different color, trust me...
Damn! If I dressed like that when I'm working, NOTHING would get done. One: because all the dirt sticking to me would drive me crazy, and Two: everybody in the neighborhood would hanging around the garage and they would not be there to help. Anyway, it looks like a great project you have going there, not to mention a great helper.
Oh sure. Let me be the first one our new moderators would have to edit. After a day of stirring up a ton of paint dust, I really don't look so hot. Although I might have to give it a try some day. I'm sure I have an old pair of jeans I could turn into a pair of " Daisy Dukes" and a t-shirt I could cut into a halter top.
