    ok...the prob is..

this alternator is from my 90 ford tempo that was totalled.. i knew that the wireing could be a prob...but andy said he got a 91 tempo alt to work...but his has an internal voltage regulator and internal fan..

mine is external V/R..it is attached on the outside of the alt...etc.... the wires is the main thing....

tell me exactly where the wires should connect on my maverick wiring...and i will be golden....

    thanks

I would have guessed that a Tempo alt. would be totally different
from a Mav/Comet alt. Why use it?

The tempo alternator is still a vbelt setup (so dont have to put on vbelt pulley, or convert to serpentine), internally regulated, internal fan...
Clean look, and if you get one for an A/C car its 105 amps.
Simple wiring. Its not technically a 1 wire setup... it had 4 wires going to it from the factory, but very simple to convert. Run one battery wire, a switched source, and then you jump 2 studs on the back of it. Very clean setup, I like it and if I can find the picture of it installed on my FE, I'll show you

Red - regular battery cable that you hook to alternator on any other car
    Blue - I used I think 12 gauge
    Green - same as above
    Yellow - same as above.

Blue/Green/Yellow just use whatever you'd wire up a radio/electric fan, etc with.
Doesnt have to be very big at all
