The mav is gone but i'm still here!
i havent though of doing that because the one in the back is fine

you probally could by putting a falcon or comet gas tank in there and adjusting the filler neck

or adjusting the one on a mav/comet

I had a friend years ago that put one on his chevelle,it didnt look bad ,but didnt really fit in my opinion, but its what ever the owner likes, thats all part of what makes customs fun(y)

personalize it to what you like

you know what,i previously mention putting a sunroof in my mav and i got chastized for it and now you're thinking about changing your gas cap location? o.k. good luck but the original location is 'to me' part of a mavericks appeal (no offense)

I think a SunRoof would look good on the right paint scheme, two tone paint job etc......., I like Mavericks but I like restomoding and trying to do something that isn't mainstream to set my car apart. If you do get that sunroof put in your mav post some pics please.

I'd think the hard part would be finding a location flat enough to make it (the gas door, not a sunroof) flush. Otherwise you'd have to fiberglass a lip or somehow make the door curved.

We're talking about one of these, right?

It could look really good if you can find the right spot on the quarter panel...or it could look really bad if you don't.

Is it the standard Mustang Flip-Open cap mounted high on the rear quarter?

This is the one that unique proformance sells, they are the company that built the cars for the movie. They call it a "Cobra LeMans roller latch style fuel cap "

Put one on each side so you can pull up to the pump from either direction - or use two pumps to fill up twice as quick. :D

It says Fuel on it. I may just end up putting it on the back but I really like the side it looks right to me.
