sounds just like mine then, it says fuel also...its nice having a flip cap that you dont have to worry about leaving or losing anywhere. looks good on there too I think...but I'm a bit partial :D

I think if you had one of those giant fuel filler caps that you would use it more often......because there would be much more aerodynamic drag ;) . IMO it would be hard to find a good location on a Mav that didn't make it look like a cheesy add on. I think they are cool on some cars but not Mavs. Someone prove me wrong, maybe it would be cool but I would have to see it in person.:D

    gone in 60 brain cells

that's what i think and besides why would anyone want to change the location from the rear to the side? that would make it look as bad as the mustangs that are side fueled instead of rear
ok folks...i'm a moron... i just watched the movie gone in 60 seconds and realized what eleanor gas cap meant... duh...if the cap was put there on a maverick,it would look very classy but i believe in that tradition,i would also go with the cougar or bobcat tail lights. talk about a new personality!

here ya go....this was as close of a rear shot as I had handy, but it'll give you an idea of the look.

If you go to the big trucker stops.........they have gas pumps/hoses on BOTH sides of the truck....so one can fill both tanks at the same time. But..alas...it is diesel fuel.

ok on that mockup do i see a cobra on the front fender? and isn't that strictly a mustang thang let's keep some maverick dignity and seperate the mav from the mus or all is lost...
no offense to those mustang lovers out there 'cause i'm still one too.

we have cobra badges on our 77 on the door panels, as well as a shelby build tag on the inner fender area/firewall, shelby tail lights(which shelby originally took from the t-bird line)mustang twist loc hood pins, and probably a few other mustang or shelby inpspired things ....if it bothers you, why not think of it as a homage to Carroll Shelby, that or recognize it as a custom, which is what many of these cars are. like I mentioned before, the fun thing with customizing is, you can make it how you want it, if others like it fine, if not fine. I dont hear people getting upset when someone puts a desoto grill in a mercury?or maybe something more closely related, say a cougar or mustang wing on a comet....same thing to me. its making it how you the owner wants it.(y)
