is this the right dome light cover (repro) for my 72?

this looks vaguely right, but i can't tell. He says it's for later years, but it doesn't look like the curved later year model cap i've got in my garage.

is this the right cap for a 72 style dome light?

looks like the one that was on my 72,..and 77,... ought to work?

one of the experts may have a part # you can match

 

i've got one from a later year, and it curves in the middle like a big angle, I could take a pic, that's why this one may be correct.

 

I was gonna say, I just went out to the ol heap and looked inside, it's got to be. that looks nothing like the later cap i've got.

 

I got a 72 and it looks like mine.

 

You may want to check the HELP section in your local auto parts store ... Pretty sure they are cheaper there ... that is where I got a replacement for my 74 ...

 

Got one for my 73 on the shelf at Auto Zone. Pretty sure it was less than that one.

 

I work at a parts plus. I got the same one here for $4.35 plus tax.
its a HELP! motormite #74328. Any good parts store should have it or be able to get it for ya.

 

holy crap that's funny, in the help section at a parts store? After all these damn years of thinking I've was just out of luck.

 

That lens is for 71-up. 70s were unique.
