hi guys, this is probably answered somewhere on one of the forums, but is there a step by step procedure to adjust a 2 barrel carburator on a 302V8?

My second question is if someone can help identify which carburator this is (on my car, see pictures). My car was built in Mexico, so this is a local product. Anyone any ideas? I'm looking for details or if possible a datasheet detailing this carburator.

It does not look in anyway like a model 5200 2-V or a model 2100-D 2-V.
My car is a 1974 Maverick without A/C or powersteering, built in Mexico City.

I'd love to help you out, but then some arrogant jerk would probably accuse me of giving a "long-winded response" without giving the answer for which you are looking...

Further searching on the net has learned me that I have a CARTER carburator, probably an ABD model. In the last picture the "CARTER" mentioned on the housing is actually the brand (I believed it to be just the carter of the carb). I will try to get a better view today.

I found some more info on this site:
    http://www.carburetion.com/troubleshoot.htm
    and
    http://www.carburetion.com/carbid.htm

Still looking for specifications and tuning info.

looking for manual on Carter ABD "hecho en Mexico"

I was able to confirm that my carburator is a CARTER ABD (Aluminium Dual Barrel). It was made in Mexico.

Here is are links to more pictures of the carburator.

The question now is: where can I get a manual with specifications and assembly/disassembly instructions? I have checked all sites I can find (including the Old car manual Project, http://www.oldcarmanual.com/), but so far have come up empty handed.

Does anyone have a Carter manual which includes the ABD? Could you scan it to PDF and make it available to me? Please send me a PM if you can. This would be greatly appreciated !
