Don't let the size fool you, a 351M would never be worth messing with. My grandpa has a '78 Bronco with one. Slow, 70's emissions junk motor. I wouldn't even put one in my truck or car if someone gave it to me...

The '86 GT motor shouldn't be to much of a problem. Main thing is if you are going to use a C4 you gotta get the correct balance flywheel and stick a carb intake on it. I believe you also will have to put a front sump oil pan on and change the timeing chain cover so you can put the mechanical fuel pump on. Or you could just run an electric fuel pump. Also gotta work out what you want to do as far as the serpentine belts and getting the correct water pump.

    thanks for the advice man
    1) on the 86 GT motor, could i keep it fuel injected? cause thats really like to keep it that way if at all possible..
    2) on the oil pan situation, could i just take off my oil pan that i have on my 302 and put it onto the 86 motor w/ no problem?

    thanks again :thumbs2:

If you want to go through the work of wireing it all up then yes you can run EFI. Several guys here are. Oil pan should swap I believe but don't take my word for it...
