Here is a picture I found on the website of one of my favorite tracks(Beaver Springs Dragway). It was taken at the the old 75-80 Dragway in Maryland on their last day. They opened in 1960. I guess it was the oldest track on the east coast and it closed in Oct. I thought this was a cool picture so I'll share it with you. It brings a tear to my eye to hear about dragstrips closing. Is this anybody's car on the board?

No one I recognize. It is a nice shot though.

    Sad about the closing.

I have been to that track a few times. I heard it was going to close. Looks like it was racing another Maverick.

Good eye there Dennis. Cool pic. I'm not a hard core racer, but I do like to flog my car every now and then. I hate to see track close, but the way people are moving out the the large cities into the "country" the price of large undeveloped tracts of land are being sold at high prices to developers who turn them into communities. For the price I see developers offering for large expances of land, track owners are almost forced to sell.
