Can anyone tell me if Bucket seats from a 4 door are identical to Buckets from a 2 door? Thanks, Mike
I believe mounting brackets, etc. are the same. I think that 4-door buckets are rigid and do not fold forward which, can make getting in the backseat of the 2-door a little cumbersome. They do fit; it's just whehter or not you want easy backseat access.
Four door buckets can be made to fold simply by removing the side cover and removeing one bolt on each side of the bottom cushion, the bolt that is fartherest away from the front of the seat back support bracket......
I have 4-door buckets in my Yellow Car ... I don't care about rear access so I left the bolt intact but as far as I can tell removing it will let the seats fold forward. They however have no mechanism to lock them upright and will simply flop forward like early cars ...
Mike, If you can come uip with the seat brackets or can fabricate spacers, I have a set of highback buckets from a Pinto that would work. I'll be in AR between Christmas and New Year's.
Thanks Terry but I prefer the LDO seats for a nicer look with the adjustable head rests. Stop by Conway when you come to Arkansas for the Holidays. Thanks, Mike
2 door seats are the way to go. You never know when you will need to get back there and have some fun.
I have 4dr LDO in my driver 2DR and if you tilt them front and slide them front you can get back there. But I`m kind of skinny.
