Has anyone ever tried the dyno max headers? Maybe to late to ask this question, but I just bought a set of ceramic coated headers. Haven't received them yet. I've read all the Hooker,Hedman,Summitt......comments,but can't find where anyone has tried the dynomax. Gave 160.00. No gaskets or bolts, but thought for ceramic was to good of a deal to pass up.
This is an older set of headers, but have never been used. Seller said they were used to mock up engines in Mustangs. But never installed on anything and ran.

hope they fit. most threads on here have said that the mustang headers won't fit a maverick. good luck.:)

according to part number I was given they are supposed to fit. Looked the number up in Jegs and Summitt says they will fit a Maverick with 302 up to '74.

    Mines a 73. I guess I'll find out shortly.

If they fit let us know... Im going to be buying a set of headers in the future... I have a set of hedmans right now as a spare... and the set on the car are a nice set of chrome ones that somebody put freakin heat wrap on... why ruin a set of chrome headers. lol

Some of the applications do also fit the stangs. The Hooker 6901 has a reference to fitting some mustangs, fairlanes etc. as well. The end result is what you experience and relate to the rest of us. Good luck!

PS maybe with your success we can find out exactly which headers share a fit with stangs and mavericks, and comets.

I have 20 year old Blackjacks. Dynomax bought out Blackjack some years ago. Don't know if they're using the old Blackjack pattern or not. Mine were advertised as fitting Mustangs, Mavericks, Rancheros, etc.

I had a set of Cragar Hotpipes back in the 70's on my 72 grabber 302 with column shift. Wonder if anyone has the dimensions of those pipes? I am gonna use my Doug Thorleys on my 71, see if they work on a column shift?

i bought a set of dyomax blackjacks few weeks ago for my 351w 1 1/2 tube , the passenger side fit with some hammering to the tube and firewall , i thought driver side was goin but after hammering i had to remove the motor mounts frame mounts oil filter, and slide them up i couldnt figure out what they were hitting, they were off by a good 1 or 2 inchs , i figured out it was hitting the frame so i tried to hammer the tube at the bottom but....to say the least they didnt fit, still was way off, they MIGHT fit a 302 MIGHT! i dont know though , but they are many other options for 302 guys ive heard the hooker 6901s fit good , but hey its up to you keep us posted (y)

The Black Jacks fit my 302 perfectly, but did need a tiny dimple to clear the steering box but I later found out it would have cleared if I replaced the worn out transmission mount first:slap:
