Last guy to have the camera Paul sent me was Marty Robbins when I handed it to him if I remember right.

Well Why doesnt some one start again with another camera,,,,? After a year of being sat on,,, Unless it was Angelina Jolee doing the sitting I dont hold out much hope of a pretty picture,,, But the Idea sounds really good that we some how get to meet each other,,

Why mail cameras all over the place?

Wouldn't be simpler just to email pix in?

You would just need to set a minimum standard to assure you get quality photos, say 600x800 at 300 dots per inch.

In the beginning (almost biblical) we were trying to have a Maverick, not the same one, drive across america taking pictures at each handoff of the camera to the new maverick that would do the next leg kinda like the pony exspress did the mail,we even talked about a magazine covering it with a story

I like the Pony Express Idea,, Take pics,, drive the Camera out to the next Maverick owner,,, have Lunch,, get a chance to meet and say hello,, Have a pic taken with a handshake,, Some Drives might be under an hour,, then again some might be a haul,, But the Idea sounds really cool,,, If we all just get together and refine it,, maybe get $1 from each member to pick up a digital camera,, with allot of memory, each leg down load and send the pics to a person that just saves them and Titles location and who is in the pic,
Just Decide on one person to get the camera,, and that would be the starting point,, Ask Stefan,, if he could set up a link to Mavericks across America,, each day we all can see and track the progress,,,

The way it all comes together,,, Is Just work out the Kinks,, And JUST DO IT,,,

    Be suprised how fast S_ _ T Gets done,,:rofl2:

Joe, that sounds nice but...when we did it last time...Earl and I started at the East coast of Ga. (150 miles east). when we sent it on West the folks in the N.E./S.E. felt left out. :yup:

    ...suggestions

make it like a game no prizes just bragging rights and to be able to meet new people or visit old friends. Divide the country into 4 sections nw-ne-sw-se and start the cameras in the northern and sothern most parts of the country. Then work the cameras to the center of the country and see if everybody can get the job complete by the Gathering in joplin, mo. You know the center of the u.s.a more or less. I think it could be done and just one more reason for everybody to showup for the Gathering to see all the pics on 4 big boards. One for each section. :thumbs2:
