I have been toying with the idea of making my own hood kinda. Instead of using the stock hood with a comet scoop (which I really like) To using a 71-73 Mach 1 NACA hood grafted to the maverick hood/frame stuff. What do you all think about that?

What's it look like? Got any pics of the Mach scoop? I'm guessing it would probably go good on your car with all the custom mods you've done.

I think it would look real good! I still want to find a rusty Grabber hood and put the front of my rust free Comet hood on it.

I believe someone posted a picture of one on here a few years ago. It looked awsome. Go for it.

    Missing my old '70 Maverick
Not to hi-jack, but What a koinkadink!

I just got back from dropping off my Maverick hood along with a '68 Shelby fiberglass hood
(built for a Fox Body Mustang I had) to have them wed in holy macramony.

I'm hoping for good results. I really like the '68 scoop and am looking
forward to having something unique on my Maverick too.

Also, I picked up my glass hood that I had the guy attach a 4" cowl scoop
on to it. It still needs some work (trimming the rear of the scoop to allow
the back of the hood to allow it to lay flat - I'll post finished pics in a
    different thread).

I think the 71-'73 Mach hood scoops will look cool too. (y)

That was uncalled for, especially from a moderator and will have a word with him. Please report such a post to me next time.

Well, why don't we all just over react shall we. I am well aware there are several boards that have members that interact between them. It was not intended as any type of disrespect to anyone. I didn't flame anybody. I am not sure why I am being held out to dry here. To me there isn't any other board. I choose not to visit any other sites on a regular basis ,as this one is all I need. I do from time to time pop in and check out the other sites for fun. Matt I have never had any issues with you or your site in fact I have nothing but respect for you. Call it a friendly rivalry. It is of my opinion this is the best maverick site period. Some may agree, some may not. I don't feel what I said warranted the responses I got from any of you. It was taken out of context. It would have been nice to see somebody give me the benefit of the doubt and ask for an explaination before burning me at the stake. Thanks guys I appreciate the love or lack there of........
