I go to a few bike rallys a year and usally sleep in a tent but i have been looking at "teardrop campers for a while. I was wondering if it was possible to cut a comet shell i have , add a frame and tounge and make one myself.I wou;d make it 8 ft long so I could have doors at the front on both sides. I could use the tailights . If Ibuild the frame and brace the roof to floor before cutting it should stay straight rightHerre is a pic of the length Im thinking. and the comet I would be using.

I think it would be really cool. Would you try to narrow it by sectioning the middle or leave it stock width for more space?

I think it would be real cool as long as the body on that Comet is junk and not worth fixing. :)

It would be neat but pretty heavy for a bike to pull. I have often thought of making a car trailer by cutting a Maverick vertically through the center of each wheel well and grafting the 2 ends together.

You could make a trailer out of the old Comet and paint it to match your green Comet. Trailer it behind the car and put a tag on it that says "mini me". :rofl2:

There is a junk yard near my house that has a trailer made from a '68 Mustang convertible. I'm not sure I would've done that to a 'Stang convertible, but it looks good.

Cool idea but, with the Comet rear wheels being so far back the tounge weight would kill you for towing with a bike. How about grafting a bike to the front and making a trike out of one?
