Hi gang. I was wondering, have any of you had to replace Maverick heater cores? If so, maybe you could clue me in on a source for them. All the local parts places here say they can't get one, and that they might have to make one. Not sure I like the "make one" answer.
    :)
It is for a Maverick Sprint without factory air. I ordered one from Kragan, and they swore that it was the right one. Wrong! It is obviously for a Maverick with factory air, as it has one pipe looped on the opposite end of the other pipe.

Do Mustangs use the same core? If so, maybe I could order it for one of those, as there is a ton of them running around here, along with quite a few Mavericks too.

In a total bind, which is better, taking a chance on some company making one, or having the existing one repaired. Anyone have any luck with a repaired one?

I know. Questions, questions, questions. :)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hopefully, I will be able to help a few others down the line, either with parts or advice.

All have a nice evening. Jack.

I got one form either Auto Zone or Advance auto. Non AC 73 about a year ago. Auto Krafters has them if you can't find one locally

That sounds like the right one for a Maverick with NO AC.

Heater cores are on ebay all the time. that is where I got mine.

:Welcome: to the board. Pics, we love pics...I got my heater core for a 73 Comet, at the local Auto parts store. I haven't put it in yet, still in the box in my work shop...
