What i would really like to see is one of those on a 200 or 250 i6, although i don't have a clue how strong the bottom ends are.

Bottom ends are almost indestructable. A main journal for every rod. A turbo Charged 250 should put out around 325 to 350 horse on 15 to 17 psi boost and a good tune. Expect low 12 sec qtr mile times perhaps a bit faster. The weak point is the head gasket.

So what turbo do the run-of the mill Ford Powerstrokes use?
How would a stock PSD turbo run on a small gas V8?
To look at the ones on my vans, they appear large.
The engines are 444 cid, but then they only spin to 3500 rpm tops.
So if you put one of these turbos on a small displacement engine, but that engine spins 6k rpms, it should really boost... Is my thinking wrong?
I guess I need to read a book on it.

How about a pair of small units off a 4 cyl Dodge/Mitsubitchy for example.
How would 2 small turbos act boosting one v8?

I think it's the new issue of hot rod that had an article on the new cometic head gaskets that use a gas filled metal fire ring. It's the one with the camaro and challenger on the cover. I don't remember if it's car craft or hot rod or what. Anyway, the little gas filled ring is the key to sealing high pressure bores. No more o-rings and copper gaskets for this guy!!

I know there is one fellow on the board that used a PSD turbo though the A/R is a little large on those. The hy35 from an auto dodge 99-02 has a 9cm housing that would spool very fast on a mild 302 but may choke up as it has such a small housing. The twin TD04/or TD05s turbos from talons, lasers, spirit models would work as well a local guy with a mustang did that on a stock 5.0 and I belive was in the high 12s with it.
