Hey fellow cheeseheads. I am not a packer fan, but I am a fan of Brett Favre. Go figure. lol. More importantly I wanted to see who else in Wisconsin has a Maverick or a Comet. I've been to a couple of carshows here in Wisconsin(namely Jefferson, Whitewater, Fond Du Lac, and Appleton), but I have always been the only Comet/Maverick enthusiast at these events. AKA Only Comet at the show. I think it's funny watching people come up to the car and going "What the F@!K is that?" Maybe it's the fact that almost all the Comets and Mavericks have rusted to the ground from the salt up here. Anyways I was just wondering who from Wisconsin is on the forum. Maybe we can collabarate on going to some car shows so I won't be the lone Comet entry. Then we can drink some beer:drink: (cause hey... we're from Wisconsin right). :rofl2:
I don't know who goes to the roundup from WI, but I am definately considering it for this Summer. Maybe we could drive down in a pack. That would be f'n sweet. So if your from WI or near WI write back to this thread and I'll see you at IOLA!

I hope to get my mav done this spring. All I got to do yet is finish the interior and put in a windsheild. I have never been to Iola but going to see another mav/com is as good a reason as any! If not i deffinatly will be at jefferson looking for some stockcar parts. if i ever get this car done a mini mav/comet show would be cool...(y)

Actually, there are more of us then you might think, were just all hibernating for the winter! :drink:

A quick check of the board members shows 38 from Wisconsin. I don't know how many of those people have running cars, or if they are under restoration right now, as mine is, or if they even have cars. They might just be board members without cars. And many of them read the postings, but do not post themselves, or post very little if they do.

And even fewer are MCCI members.

I was an MCCI member for a year when I was in high school, but never made it to any events and quite after that year. But now that I will be no longer burdened with schoolwork I might consider getting back in.

I still think we should take over a car show this summer with all our mavs and comets.
