...but I assume that 4-door rear quarter panels will not work on a 2-door maverick(?). I found a 4-door at the junkyard with halfway-decent rear quarters...

I always thought they were the same from the wheels back, excluding the roof and trunk line. Should be good for patching rusted lowers.

Yeah. the lowers are what I am talking about. the rest is obvious. It would be nice to know for sure if the lower sections would work....

    Should be easy to measure.

theree definitely different part numbers but i'd measure the piece you need and see if you could cut it out as a patch for that area.:)

I dunno, anything can be made to work, but my 2 door looks a little different than my 4... the end caps are different, although that may just be on the outside, not structural.

Well if the car is still there on Friday (3/03), I'm gonna go measure them, and if they are the same behind the rear wheel opening, I'm gonna cut 'em off. Think a battery-powered DeWalt sawz-all will do the job?....

I'm in the same boat (needing a QP out of a junkyard). A battery powered saw might work, i was thinking of cutting with a torch and just cutting a LOT more than i needed (since the metal will obviously warp). Lemme know if the saw works out for ya ;)
